Prototype Script: Government Supervisors and Employee (developed for Performance and Conduct Management for Laboratory Supervisors)
This early draft of a scenario script was developed for a prototype exploring concepts similar to those addressed in a performance and conduct management course for laboratory supervisors. Although the prototype uses a government workplace setting, the characters and situations are intentionally unrelated to the laboratory environment. The script begins with two characters establishing the context, followed by three storylines that explore whether an employee’s actions represent a performance issue or a conduct issue. Each storyline is followed by potential scenario-based questions that could be incorporated into the learning experience to encourage learners to analyze the situation and apply their judgment. I also incorporated character avatars throughout the script to help visualize the scenarios and bring the characters and situations to life.
